Remarketing is when you target people who have interacted with your business in the past. They might have been to your website, your social media pages, or any other online place where they interacted with you and you want to maintain a relationship with them over time.

Remarketing is a great way to increase your brand awareness with people who already know of you or were recently shopping on your website. You can remind them to return, and hopefully when they return they will decide to transact or to opt-in as a lead.

Google remarketing allows you to run remarketing ads on the Google Display Network, YouTube and/or Google Search Network. Alternatively, you can use remarketing audiences as exclusion audiences. For example you can exclude users from your marketing who have recently transacted or are already customers.
