Yes! And I strongly recommend previewing your ads before you release them, as this can help you to spot errors before they go live.

While creating or editing your display ads through the Google Ads web interface, a preview pane opens on the right-hand side of the page. By default it shows the mobile preview, but you can also choose desktop preview by clicking on the desktop icon. Don’t forget to preview your ad on both mobile and desktop.

It’s particularly important to preview and check Responsive Display Ads carefully, because Google creates these for you and you don’t want to discover later that they look strange because the logo is missing or an image is cropped strangely or the titles or text don’t mix well.

When you preview your ad it will also show you text and native formats even if you have these turned off. You can toggle between formats to only show Image ads if you have text ads turned off.
