In many instances searchers are looking to buy a product or service and they specifically look at the ads, because they assume that those will be more relevant than the articles.

When your prospect searches for a product or service in Google they will click on your ad if they think you are offering the product or service that they are looking for. For this reason, it’s really useful to split your advertising into different Ad Groups based on similar keywords, so that you can serve ads that are relevant to what your prospects are looking for.

If your ads and landing pages are similar to the terms being searched, you are more likely to get your ads on the top of the search results. These top ads are clicked more often, bringing highly targeted traffic to your website.
