If you know my story at all, you’ll know I didn’t have any marketing background before starting a business in web analytics. I also didn’t have any business experience and I didn’t have cash reserves. I didn’t advertise. I didn’t even have experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager etc, I just learned it all with a LOT of time behind the screen.

I’m not really into chatting on Facebook, I’m not a member of any online forums and I don’t tend to go to many networking events.

I’m definitely a big introvert both offline and on.

Also, as of the date of this writing (May 2019) I’ve never once done SEO. At least not intentionally.

So it probably does not surprise you to learn that my own website didn’t really bring in much traffic! In fact My Google Search Console typically showed no traffic whatsoever.

At least not until recently.

I started employing a new process that takes me a few hours a week and I’m ASTOUNDED by the difference it is making to my website traffic and newsletter signups. I now have users signing up every day ( PS. are you going to be one of them? 🙂 )

Anyhoo, I’m not going to turn into a blogging consultant or SEO specialist or anything like that, but I just wanted to show you this graph from my search console. It shoes I am now getting 60X more Google Search impressions than I did at the end of last year.

Now I’ve still got a long long way to go and its probably a piddly amount of traffic compared to your own website or that of your clients, but I’m really keen to see where this goes 🙂

And what is my neat trick? All I did was record videos and add them to YouTube and to my blog. No literary masterpieces here or well-polished webinars. But I am really fascinated by the results. I’ll share how it’s progressed in another few months.
